Two sports, one medal, and a very short season
Biathlon compresses everything into a few winter months. Sprint, pursuit, individual, relay — the results come quickly and then the calendar stops, which means the medals arrive in a burst and get put somewhere temporary that becomes permanent.
This medal display is the thing that catches them. Cut from a single sheet of stainless steel with the ski and rifle silhouette, sized so a season fits on one rail and a career fits on two.
Biathletes usually also race cross-country, so the collection is mixed. Both sets hang on the same rail without looking mismatched, since the display is neutral steel rather than a themed backdrop.
This medal holder comes in the widths listed here. For a gift, err wide — nobody has ever complained about too much room.
Size & capacity
| Size | Steel | 1 rail | 2 rails | 3 rails |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 45 x 8 cm | 2.5 mm | 13-20 | 24-36 | 34-50 |
| 60 x 11 cm | 3 mm | 21-30 | 38-55 | 55-75 |
| 75 x 11.5 cm | 3 mm | 31-45 | 55-80 | 75-110 |
Not sure which size?
A short competitive winter means fewer medals per year than summer sports. The 45 cm size suits most single-athlete collections. This design is produced from 45 cm upwards — the cut-out detail doesn't hold at smaller widths.
The steel, and why it matters
Every medal display in the range is AISI 304 — the same grade used for kitchen surfaces and marine fittings — at 2.5-3 mm depending on width. It doesn't rust, doesn't chip, and doesn't need looking after.
The bar is continuous. That's the whole difference from a hook rack: hooks give you a fixed count, a rail gives you a length.
Fitting it to the wall
Comes with stainless standoffs, fixings and a paper drilling template. On plasterboard use proper anchors rather than the plugs supplied — a full display is heavier than it looks.
When it fills up
A second unit mounts flush against the first, so the wall still reads as one piece rather than two things hung near each other. The widest version holds up to 110 medals across three rails.
Delivery
Every medal display is cut and finished in our own workshop and dispatched within 3–5 working days. Returns accepted for fourteen days.
