This version is ordered around round numbers — a fiftieth birthday, a hundredth parkrun, ten years since the first race. Somebody usually organises it and several people pay for it.

Group presents tend to be bought large, and that instinct is correct here. If a club is clubbing together, take the 75 cm; it holds up to 110 medals and it will not need replacing.

The steel, and why it matters

Every medal display in the range is AISI 304 — the same grade used for kitchen surfaces and marine fittings — at 2.5-3 mm depending on width. It doesn't rust, doesn't chip, and doesn't need looking after.

The bar is continuous. That's the whole difference from a hook rack: hooks give you a fixed count, a rail gives you a length.

Putting it up

The standoffs hold it a centimetre off the wall, which is what gives the shadow line. Template, screws and plugs are included; you need a drill and ten minutes.

Once there is no space left

The proportions are drawn so that two units stacked or lined up look like one piece of furniture rather than an afterthought. The widest version holds up to 110 medals across three rails.
